|
Have you ever felt hopeless in your life? Feelings of hopelessness arises when you start entertaining thoughts like saying these: "What's the use of trying?"
"I'll never be happy in my life.", "Nothing will ever work out.", "The whole world is against me, it's hopeless."
These feelings of hopelessness is much more aggravated when you began to isolate yourself and refuse to see your friends and those people who may try to help you and connect with you.
First thing to realize is, no matter how hopeless you may feel, there are still things you can do right now, to bring you out of the sad territory. Recurrent thoughts like, "what's the use in trying? There's no hope anyway" makes you not doing anything about your life that's why you feel even more hopeless.
But why not doing something different about your situation? make a decision that perhaps, you're wrong about your presumptions that you're hopeless. Remember, you've been wrong before, and this may not be different after all. Then decide to do something about it; begin by taking things into positive, thinking like, "maybe there's a better side to this." You try to do things you don't want doing at the moment which could probably make you feel better (hanging out with friends, exercising, listening to more upbeat music) I know this may be quite challenging, but prove to your hopelessness that it's wrong and that things are okay now.
You might as well give up on some negative mindset which never works: complaining, burberry bags, whining, taking things personally, constant worrying, etc. Each time you do any of these, tell yourself that it never works. Instead, try some other stuff which may work like, increasing your tolerance, be more accepting, etc.
Next thing you may want to consider is that just because one area of your life deemed hopeless, everything is will also crumble down. That's not the way to transform your thoughts; there must be some areas of your life worth being happy about. There are still some things you can change and worth taking time to see its beauty.
Stop saying that "you can't live without..." Because surely, you've lived even before that lover in your life, even before that job, even before having that dream car etc., you will live again--just like you always do. |
